About Jasper

As college students, we have seen a serious waste issue in our daily lives. At the end of each quarter many reusable goods are thrown away or left on the street. Additionally, buying and selling items such as furtniture can be expensive for new students despite such a surplus at the end of each year. Existing solutions to solve these problems are unreputable, perceived as dangerous or not used. To solve these challenges we have created Jasper, a way for UW students to buy and sell goods with other UW affliated people.

Jasper's Features

Sign-up Page

On the sign up page, users will be able to log in in and sign up for Jasper. As one of our safety measure, we encourage the user to sign-in with their UW account. UW users will be indicated by the UW logo on their profile picture.

Home Page

On the home page, users will be able to see the latest post for each category or across all categories, along with the ability to search for items.

Item Description Page

On the item description page, users will be able to see the person who posted the item and the rating, as well as where to pick up the item, sometimes seller may offer drop off.
